Our by-donation Yoga Nidra is an evening dedicated to relaxation and restoration for ALL.
This class is all about taking a moment to “let go” and experience a sense of peace. Students will relax on their mats, getting as comfortable as possible with bolsters, blankets, etc. Sarah will then guide students through a form of meditation known as Yoga Nidra.
What is Yoga Nidra?
Yoga Nidra is a form of guided meditation that systematically guides and relaxes you at every level of being including physical, energetic, mental, emotional, and spiritual layers. Through the use of breath awareness, body scanning, and imagery, Yoga Nidra invites you to become aware of each layer of being without needing to change or fix anything. Yoga Nidra is a wonderful tool for stress management as well as for helping to heal physical, mental, and emotional pain that has gone untreated.
Who is Yoga Nidra for?
Everyone. This class is not a physical practice and is accessible to all! Absolutely no meditation or yoga experience is necessary. Even if you are unable to comfortably lie down we invite you to use our meditation seats or chairs.

Intro to Bhakti Yoga: The Yoga of Love

WHAT IS BHAKTI YOGA:
The power of sound is profound, tangible and yet mystical. The ancient Indian texts prescribe invoking of our ever blissful spiritual consciousness in the modern age through the medium of sound vibration. Kirtan, an ancient practice from India’s devotional traditions, is rhythmic call and response singing of mantras, or the names of the Divine.
Kirtan has the power to open our hearts and reconnect us to our natural state of love and joy. In its heartfelt expression, it can induce profound states of meditation and bliss.
ABOUT LIZA, ANDRE, & ASHLEY:
Liza, Andre, and Ashley have all been attracted to the sweetness of Bhakti yoga, be it through music, philosophy, or food.
Andre has been playing the drums for 13 years and loves to provide the heartbeat of a kirtan.
Ashley has traveled on Pilgrimage to India multiple times and is always excited to share stories and lessons she has learned from her teacher, Raghunath.
Liza has immersed herself in this tradition and had the great opportunity to spend time with practitioners in New York City who go out on the streets 6 hours a day, 365 days a year to share the power of Divine Love. Together, they will share their insights on what they attest to be a most transformative practice.
